One look at the new ESX, and you know what this bike is about. It looks fast. And as the wind-tunnel data proves, it is fast. The most radical design ever created by Parlee took years to develop —and when it comes to performance, we’ll put it up against any other aero road bike on the market.
Several key technologies put this new bike in a class of its own. Its sleek, wind-cheating profile starts with a patented tube technology called Recurve. With its unique “fluted tail” shape, Recurve delivers the ideal blend of low drag and high torsional stiffness—along with road-smoothing comfort that is so often lacking in aero bikes.
Hailing from a chassis known for their lightweight, the development team at Parlee dedicated themselves to creating an aero bike that defies gravity. The ESX achieves top marks in the wind tunnel, all while weighing in at under 950 grams (frame and fork). In addition, the ESX features clearance for tires up to 28mm wide for optomized comfort and speed on all terrains. The internal cable routing can be utilized for both mechanical and electronic shifting, maintaining the clean, aerodynamic lines of the bike.
On this model, the Dura Ace 9070 Di2 components keep the drive train shifting flawlessly for miles and miles, with an extremely low weight penalty.
