For the ultimate in road feel and confidence, ride Maxxis' tubeless Padrone TR tire. Going tubeless, you not only remove the weight of the tube, but pinch flats are a thing of the past. Also, the tire conforms to the road better for a ride quality that once felt, you'll never want to go back. This tire goes from long training rides to fast races easily with its dual compound that provides enhanced wear life and improved cornering control. It also uses their Silkworm material for puncture protection, along with a high-strength carbon fiber bead to keep the weight down.

Tubeless tires are compatible with tubeless and standard rims. When used with tubeless rims, the tire and rim form an airtight chamber, allowing the tire to be inflated without a tube. This lets you run lower pressure for optimum comfort and control without fear of pinch flats. When used with standard rims, the tire can be mounted and inflated with a tube.

Comments:

It took 4 rides to convince me that this are great tires. The 1st 3 were ho-hum, didn't perform much different that the Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tires that have rolled under me for 8K miles. Yesterday it was raining softly, and I thought it would be a good test on the wet. Not only did the tires perform superbly, but I had my personal best on the course. The tires mounted easy, Maxsis generously provided a pair of levers with each tire- neither was needed. I wasn't able to get them to seat with my floor pump, the 12V car compressor did the job. The front tire and wheel assembly weighed the same with both brand of tires.
