Comments:

I bought these pedals after I upgraded to a specialized Tarmac comp. It took me a few attempts to get my foot just right to get in, but once I "felt it" I never had a problem again. I typically go on road rides and on that' note, clipping in and getting out was never a problem. Pending on how tight or lose you set the tension spring can make it a little easier for you to get in or out.

Comments:

It was an item that was recommended to me since I purchased a sport road bike and new Bontrager RL road shoes. I guess it is your typical road cycling pedal, but it was not suitable for me since I live in the city where I actually abide by the traffic signals just to be safe. Unclipping from the pedal is very easy specially with the adjustable spring tension. However, I sometimes have a hard time finding the right spot to clip into the pedal quick enough to get out of cars' paths when a traffic light turns green. If you're looking for a quick clip in pedal while cycling in the city, then these might not be the best choice. They're great for long non-stop riding while out training for a race. So, no for city use; yes for suburban/longer riding periods. I love them once I'm on a trail, but the clipping in issue is a great concern when riding back home through the city. I hate knowing that I am causing some sort of traffic behind me just because I can't clip into the pedals quick enough.

These pedals are a good no nonsense design that are perfect for the first time clipless pedal user.
