Designed in the wind tunnel, HED's Jet 9 FR wheels have been winning races since 1995. Never one to rest on their laurels, HED updated the Jets with their C2 90mm-deep rim that balances vertical compliance, impact resistance, and crosswind stability. HED's C2 carbon/scandium rim is 23mm wide, making it very stiff laterally which means pinpoint descending control and responsive accelerations. It also makes the whole wheel aero, as a 23c tire doesn't balloon out over the edge, giving you better cornering and overall traction. It laced to HED's Carbon Sonic hub that cuts weight with a carbon shell and titanium quick release. And, the scandium aluminum braking surface is durable and offers excellent stopping power.
HED's FR wheels (FR stands for Flamme Rouge - the red pennant that marks the final kilometer of pro road races), are HED's ultimate version of each of their wheelsets. If they can save weight or watts, they do it on their FR wheels. With lighter rims and hubs, higher quality bearings, titanium quick-release skewers and hub hardware, HED's FR wheels are simply the best in their class.
HED's Stability Control Technology (SCT) means that these wheels are tuned for optimum handling according to the rim depth. This ensures that even in crosswinds you enjoy precision handling and a significant aero advantage.
